✦ Platform Features

Authenticate, label and
protect your content

Provenance4Trust is the first platform built for media, journalists and institutions to certify the origin and authenticity of digital content — powered by a trusted ecosystem of technology partners.

How it works

Three steps to certified content

From upload to signed publication, the entire workflow runs inside a single secure platform.

1
📤

Upload & Inspect

Drag and drop your image. The platform reads existing EXIF, IPTC and C2PA metadata, runs an AI generation check (UncovAI), will soon extracts text with OCT and performs a reverse image search to detect prior publication.

2
🏷️

Label & Enrich

Fill in the provenance record: author, entity, editorial context, AI Act compliance declaration, JTI certification status. Optionally add an invisible IMATAG watermark for an additional layer of protection.

3

Sign & Publish

TrustMyContent cryptographically signs your content using the C2PA standard. The manifest is tamper-evident and interoperable with Adobe, Google, Meta and any Content Credentials tool worldwide.

The ecosystem

Four partners,
one unified workflow

Each technology partner covers a specific layer of the authenticity stack. Together, they form a complete, interoperable trust infrastructure for digital content.

Provenance4Trust orchestrates these specialised services into a seamless workflow — so you never have to deal with each API separately.

TrustMyContent

Platform developer & host · C2PA signing

TrustMyContent develops, hosts and maintains the Provenance4Trust platform. It provides the core infrastructure that connects all partner APIs into a single workflow — from file upload to signed, downloadable content. Its C2PA-compliant signing service cryptographically binds the provenance manifest to the content, making any subsequent alteration immediately detectable.

What it does in the platform
  • Hosts and operates the Provenance4Trust web application
  • Provides the LabelMyContent workflow — editing, preview, signing
  • Signs content with the C2PA standard (cryptographic hash + certificate)
  • Manages accounts, credits and content library
  • Orchestrates UncovAI, IMATAG and JTI API calls
🔬

UncovAI

AI-generated content detection

UncovAI is a Nice-based technology company specialising in AI-generated content detection. Unlike deep-learning classifiers, UncovAI uses mathematical signal analysis to identify the statistical fingerprints left by generative models — computationally efficient and robust across all major generative architectures.

What it does in the platform
  • Analyses uploaded images via API to detect AI generation
  • Returns a confidence score (0–100%): Authentic, AI-enriched or AI-generated
  • Populates the AI Act Article 50 compliance field automatically
  • Result embedded in the C2PA manifest as a c2pa.training-mining assertion
💧

IMATAG

Invisible watermark & content monitoring

IMATAG provides an invisible, persistent softbinding watermark that survives compression, cropping, format conversion and social media re-encoding. Unlike traditional metadata, it is embedded in the pixel structure — it cannot be stripped. This creates a second layer of protection that complements the C2PA manifest.

What it does in the platform
  • Embeds an invisible softbinding watermark at signing time (optional)
  • The watermark encodes a unique content ID linked to the C2PA manifest
  • Survives JPEG re-compression, format changes, screenshots and crops
  • MonitorMyContent (coming soon): automated web scanning for unauthorised copies
🏛️

JTI — Journalism Trust Initiative

Editorial certification · Reporters Without Borders (RSF)

The JTI is an international certification programme launched by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) to identify media organisations adhering to standards of editorial transparency and accountability. JTI certification is already recognised by news aggregators, social platforms and fact-checking networks worldwide.

What it does in the platform
  • Provides an API to verify whether a media holds JTI certification
  • A JTI-certified flag is embedded in the content's provenance manifest
  • Visible to end-users on any C2PA-compatible reader or browser extension
  • Signals editorial quality and trust to audiences, algorithms and fact-checkers
